FOCUS ON THE NEXT GAME

The Fluminense manager Abel Braga has revealed that his team of focusing only on the upcoming match with the Chilean side Huachipato in the Copa Libertadores.

Fluminense are currently top of the table with an advantage of six points, but they have played one game more than the other teams in the group. A win against Huachipato will be enough for Fluminense, as it would help them secure qualification for the next round. However, the manager Braga has said that he is not thinking about qualification, but about the fact that a defeat would have bad consequences on the ability to qualify easily.

Hence, he has said that his players should concentrate extremely well if they are to progress without any complications. The excellent unbeaten run of the team recently came to an end following the 3-0 defeat against Gremio in the same competition. As a result, the team has managed just one win in the last three matches. Hence, the Huachipato have been speaking extremely confident about the team Fluminense, who will be on the road for this match. The club also have a very difficult away match against Vasco da Gama during the weekend, but the manager has promised that his entire attention will be on the Copa Libertadores match.

“Now let’s think of the Libertadores, and it will be a tough game. They won against GrĂªmio. And let’s try to break this thing that no team has won the group playing at home. If we do not win Wednesday, it could greatly complicate the group, and we can’t come here thinking we’re going to win, it will not be easy. We know the difficulties we had there to win the match and it will not be different here,” said the Fluminense manager Abel Braga ahead of the encounter.
