CHELSEA PLAYER WANTS BRAZIL STAY

Chelsea are known for the number of players that they send on loan every season with the players infamously known as Romans Army. One of the players on loan Nathan wants to remain with current club Atletico Mineiro.

The young attacking midfielder moved on loan to Atletico Mineiro last summer and after initially struggling at the club has found some success in recent weeks. The 23-year-old has a month left on his loan deal and wants to renew it for an additional season.

Speaking to local media Nathan revealed that he has not begun talks on a new deal with the club but remains confident that a deal could be made in the next few weeks. His current loan deal at the club has a buyout option which can be triggered at any time.

However, Nathan has less than 12 months left on his existing contract with Chelsea and Atletico Mineiro could be wanting to negotiate another loan deal. Which would mean that the player would be free to join the club when his contract ends in 2020.

Nathan joined the Blues in 2015 but struggled to break into the first team and played only a couple of games for the club. His struggles are reminiscent with a couple of Brazilians who played in the EPL such as Denilson at Arsenal and Kennedy in Chelsea

From his interview with the local media, the creative midfielder has no plans of moving back to the club and spoke of his delight with his current club.

Nathan has been a constant feature in the Atletico team this season featuring in three of the last four league games for the club. He has scored a goal so far and would be looking to guide the club higher than the sixth-placed finished achieved last campaign.
